Tendon lotion Ready For Prime Time

Tendon lotion is ready for prime time

Tendon lotion is a topical liniment formulated for those pesky, chronic injuries that take a long time to heal. Like that ankle you twisted a year ago that’s still kind of sore. Or that tendonitis that lingers like an unwanted guest in your wrist.

The problem with tendon- and ligament-related injuries is that these parts of the body don’t get a generous blood supply like bones do, and therefore just takes a longer time to heal. Tendon lotion contains warming herbs that increase local circulation and can be massaged into the injured area 2-3 times a day to promote the flow of qi and blood. It is especially indicated for pain that is sensitive to cold and dampness.

Tendon lotion should NOT be used on injuries that are still swollen, hot or otherwise showing signs of inflammation as this liniment has warming herbs. For those types of injuries, use the Trauma Liniment or die da jiu (better known by its Cantonese name, da dit jow) instead. The “hit fall wine” is a staple at martial arts schools and can be downright miraculous sometimes in relieving pain for injuries like sprains, bruises, shin splints, contusions, and even speed up the healing of fractures. I have a batch of da dit jow standing by as well. Contact me if you want to try either liniment!
